In recent years, the Japanese biotech industry has experienced substantial growth, with the number of Japanese biotech ventures increasing 20% since 2003. Increased cooperation between the Japanese public and private sectors and academic institutions has lead to the development of a vibrant industry and has opened up a greater potential for partnering and research collaborations.

The 5th Annual Japan Biotech Meeting is designed to help explore the opportunities in this growing market sector. It brings together world leaders in from science/technology, business, finance, as well as senior executives from pharmaceuticals, chemical, agricultural, and nutraceuticals (wellness) companies. Also joining this world class meeting event will be Japanese academic, government, and corporate leadership for discussions surrounding the State of the Union, with a focus on various key sectors; partnering; key major transactions and trends in Japan; and a session specific to Biotechnology the growth of biotechnology in Asia, including China and India.
