Applications:
A safety valve is a valve that is used to protect equipment from
damage, even from explosions, when installed in pressure vessels.
It is designed to automatically activate when the inlet pressure
reaches a predetermined level, open the disc and discharge the
fluid. In most cases, to prevent natural flow to the surface, it is
necessary to have a means of closure, for which a subsurface safety
valve (SSSV) is the best option. The SSSV is controlled by a
stainless steel control line, with up to 10,000 psi pressure in
order to keep the valve open.
