Q: How to choose the cable specification?
A: First of all, determine the maximum working current of the
energy storage system, which includes the charging and discharging
currents of the battery packs as well as the currents of other
equipment connected to the energy storage system. Based on the
calculated load current, select a cable with sufficient
current-carrying capacity. The current-carrying capacity of the
cable is related to factors such as the material of the cable, the
cross-sectional area of the core, the laying method and the ambient
temperature. Determine the maximum permissible voltage drop
according to the equipment requirements of the energy storage
system and the electrical code. Consider environmental conditions,
