Aluminum foil is a very thin aluminum foil obtained by rolling
aluminum and aluminum alloy strip, aluminum coil, strip or sheet. In China, the thickness of less than 0.2mm aluminum and aluminum
alloy strip is generally called aluminum foil.
Because of its excellent properties, aluminum foil is widely used
in the kitchen for cooking, holding food, or making materials that
can be easily cleaned. Thousands of tons of aluminum foil are used around the world to
protect and wrap food, cosmetics and chemicals. Most aluminum foil paper is bright on one side and grey on the
other. Aluminum foil for food can be wrapped on both sides of food. It is
usually recommended to wrap food with a bright side to improve heat
transfer. Aluminum foil is a kind of wet, airtight, sunshade, non-toxic,
tasteless, plasticity strong soft metal. In particular, its clean, sanitary and shiny appearance makes it
very popular.
In order to improve the rolling efficiency and the quality of
aluminum foil products, the modern aluminum foil mill is developing
in four directions: large roll, wide width, high speed and
automation. Contemporary aluminum foil mill roll width has reached more than
2200mm, rolling speed has reached more than 2000m/min, roll weight
has reached more than 20t. The automation level of the rolling mill is also greatly improved.
Thickness control system (AGC) is generally installed, and most of
the plate shape meter (AFC) is installed. Aluminum foil industry is facing a period of rapid development.
Aluminum foil can be divided into one - sided aluminum foil and two
- sided aluminum foil according to the surface state.
(1) single light aluminum foil: double rolled aluminum foil,
rolling after a bright, black face, such aluminum foil is called a
light aluminum foil. The thickness of a light foil usually does not exceed o. 025mm.
(2) double-sided aluminum foil: single rolled aluminum foil, two
pictures and roller contact, both sides of aluminum foil because of
the roller surface roughness is different and divided into mirror
two surface aluminum foil and ordinary two surface aluminum foil. The thickness of two surface light aluminum foil is generally not
less than 0.01mm.
