Low FinTube Product Description:

^{Integral low fin tube developed as a method of increasing heat transfer performance of fluids while minimizing the size also cost of the Heat Changer The fin tubes can improve the thermal performance of a heat exchanger without change shell size, flow arrangement or re-positioning of tube. The external surface of the tube is increased by the formation of "low fins".The fin is produced by being rolled from the wall of the tube and is therefore integral with the tube itself. Due to fin rolling the wall thickness beneath the finned section is reduced compared with the plain ends. The bore of the fin section is slightly reduced.Most tubular materials can be finned, however hardness of the material usually determines whether the tubes suitable for finning.}

Fin efficiency is defined as the ratio of actual heat flow of the fin to that which would be obtained with a fin of constant temperature uniformly equal to the base surface temperature, that is, one with infinite thermal conductivity.

Low Finned tube is a finned tube obtained through plastic cold deformation. The method consists in realizing, from a smooth tube, fins with a particular geometric form without removing material; this plastic deformation causes an increment of heat exchange efficiency, and allows to reduce the heat exchanger size.
