What is sintered mesh?

For challenging applications in filtration, sintered steel meshes are now increasingly used instead of filter meshes. Here, a selected range of meshes are bonded together using heat and pressure. This effectively combines the performance advantages of each individual mesh layer and results in optimisation of the filtration process. The resultant bonded mesh enables the finest filtration to be achieved, but thanks to the robust mesh structure, the medium is resistant to physical loading. The smooth surface also offers advantages for the cleaning process when backwashing.

Sintered mesh

Sintered wire mesh metal filter cloth is a porous metal plate made from multilayer stainless steel wire mesh, and sintered into one metal panel. It is usually consists of 5 layer (or 6-8 layer) mesh: protect mesh layer, filter mesh layer, protection mesh layer, reinforcement mesh layer, and reinforcement mesh layer. With high mechanical strength and wide filter rating ranges, sintered filters are a new fine materials for filtration used in food, beverage, water treatment, dust removing, pharmaceutical, and polymer industry.

Types of the Sintered mesh	1>> SLS (Single Layer Laminate) Series – Ensures that all warp and shute wires are locked securely. It also allows for easy in deep drawing and forming. 2>> MLS (Multiple Layer Laminates) Series – Ranging from 2 layers to more than 25 individual layers of wire cloth bonded to from a unique integrated structure. 3>>CLS (Custom Design Laminates) –This series of material utilizes woven mesh, perforated steel, and foils to form hybrid materials that are light weight and flexible.
