What is an ultrasound transducer and what does it do?
An ultrasound transducer, also called a probe, is a device that
produces sound waves that bounce off body tissues and make echoes.
The transducer also receives the echoes and sends them to a
computer that uses them to create an image called sonogram.

What is an Endovaginal Ultrasound?
An ultrasound scan is a medical imaging test in which sound waves
are sent out from a probe and bounced back. The reflected sound
waves are used to create a picture of the scanned area, which is
then displayed as a black and white image on a screen. An
endovaginal ultrasound, sometimes known as a transvaginal
ultrasound, involves a probe being inserted into it. In comparison
to an abdominal ultrasound, which involves a probe being moved over

What is Sonography?

tissues. Traditionally, a sonogram will show a flat presentation of the examined region, but three
dimensional (3D) images are also possible, as are 4D pictures,
which show 3D images in motion. The picture is called an ultrasound
