The HCPL-817-500E is an optically-coupled isolator IC from Avago
Technologies. This device provides a high degree of electrical
isolation between an input signal and an output circuit, making it
ideal for use in industrial and commercial power applications. The
HCPL-817-500E features an isolation voltage of 500 Vrms, a maximum
forward current rating of 20 mA, and a maximum reverse voltage
rating of 5 V. It also features a wide operating temperature range
of -40°C to +125°C, making it suitable for a variety of
applications. The HCPL-817-500E is available in a small 8-pin DIP
package.
