To use a NIBP extension tube, follow these general steps:

1.Choose the appropriate size of blood pressure cuff for the patient's arm or leg and wrap it around the limb.
2.Connect one end of the extension tube to the cuff connector on the blood pressure cuff.
3.Connect the other end of the extension tube to the corresponding connector on the NIBP monitor.
4.Turn on the NIBP monitor and follow the manufacturer's instructions for taking a blood pressure reading.
5.Once the reading is complete, disconnect the extension tube from the NIBP monitor and from the blood pressure cuff, and clean the extension tube according to the manufacturer's instructions.
