EEG electrodes
Small metal disks are usually made of stainless steel, tin, gold,
or silver coated with silver chloride. They are placed in special
places on the scalp. These locations are designated using the
international 10/20 system. Each electrode location is labeled with
a letter and number. Letters refer to areas of the brain under the
electrodes, such as F - frontal lobe and T - temporal lobe. Even
numbers indicate the right side of the head and odd numbers
indicate the left side of the head.
