    The AB 1769-ECR is a Right End Cap (ECR) module that is used with the CompactLogix controller series. This module functions as a bus terminator, terminating the FlexBus circuitry, signaling the end of the CompactLogix assembly. This module is necessary to qualify the CompactLogix configuration. The 1769-ECR features a current draw of 5 mA at 5.1 VDC. It has an operating altitude of 2000 m or 6562 ft and approximately weighs 130 grams or 0.286 lb. It has an open style enclosure rating, an operating temperature of 0 -60 °C or 32-140 °F) while the storage temperature is -40 to 85 °C (-40 to 185 °F and relative humidity of 5-95%, non-condensing. It must be installed at a location with vibration not exceeding 5 g, 10-500 Hz. It also has an operating shock rating of 20g when DIN rail is mounted and 30g when the CompactLogix system is directly mounted to the enclosure. The 1769-ECR must only be installed or removed when power is removed from the system. Removal or insertion under power will cause controller error and stoppage which is not desirable especially with a functional and actively operating system. To install the 1769-ECR, the bus lever must be lifted from its engaged position. Once done, align the ECR module along with the guide slots and gently push the ECR module until it is adjacent and in line with the CompactLogix module. Engaged the bus lever to connect the ECR module and close the FlexBus. If resistance is felt during the engagement of the bus lever, inspect if the ER is properly aligned to the module and the guide slot.

It has an operating shock is 20 g on a DIN rail mount and 30 g on a panel mount. Its non-operating shock is 30 g on a DIN rail and 40 g on a Panel mount.
