Product introduction
Chlorinated rubber is a kind of chlorinated polymer made from
natural rubber and chlorine gas. Industrial products are white or
light yellow powder, non-toxic and tasteless, chlorine content of
63-65% , average molecular weight of 5000-10000, soluble in
aromatic hydrocarbons, halogenated hydrocarbons, ethers, esters,
petroleum solvents and ketones (excluding acetone) , can be mixed
with alkyd resins, epoxy, Phenol formaldehyde resin, polyurethane
and other synthetic resins, insoluble in aliphatic alcohols and
water. Due to the high chlorine content in the C-C backbone of
chlorinated rubber and its ring-like structure, it has many
excellent application properties:
1. The molecular chain is saturated and does not contain double
bond and other active groups, so it has stable chemical properties
and excellent corrosion resistance. It can withstand the corrosion
of acid, alkali, salt, chlorine, H2S, SO2 and other corrosive
chemicals
2. Cl-group has anti-mildew and flame-retardant properties, so the
product has anti-mildew and flame-retardant properties;/n3. C-Cl
bond has strong polarity, so it has good adhesion on many kinds of
materials such as steel, aluminum alloy, cement and wood/n4. It has
C-C main chain and belongs to rubber modified product, so it has
good compatibility with natural rubber, neoprene rubber, nitrile
rubber rubber, etc. /n5. It has a ring structure, so the adhesive
property, flame retardancy, oil resistance and elastic modulus of
the product can be improved/n6. Micro-decomposition above 125 °C,
no softening and burning above 200 °C, good heat resistance.

Performance:
It has excellent weather resistance, chemical stability, salt and
acid resistance and uv resistance performance, and has excellent
adhesion on steel, cement and other substrates. CR-5 is a new
low-viscosity model developed by the company, which can help
customers improve solid content in coating formulation and achieve
VOC emission standards lower than 420g/L.
Solubility:
It can be stably dissolved in toluene, xylene and other organic
solvents, forming a colorless or light yellow transparent solution.
It is insoluble in ethanol-aliphatic solvents.
Stability:
It is very stable at ambient temperature, but it will degrade
slowly in continuous heating. It is recommended to add low
molecular weight epoxy resin as stabilizer in the production
process, and the addition amount is less than 1%.
