Sheet metal is a general term for parts formed by secondary
processing of metal sheets through manual or machine stamping,
shearing, bending and other means.
It includes two categories of thin plate hardware and thick plate
hardware. Among them, the varieties of sheet metal parts mainly
include: chassis cabinets, heat dissipation equipment, instruments
and meters, industrial pipeline connectors and mechanical casings,
etc.
processing
1. Cutting: According to the requirements of the product drawing,
cut the plate on the CNC punching machine or other special shearing
machine;
2. Drilling: Drill holes in the material with drill bits of
corresponding specifications;
3. Tapping (silk screen): use the mold to rough the edge of the
hole on the blank workpiece;
4. Edge milling (chamfering): use the machine tool milling cutter
to finish the side wall of the workpiece to make it reach the
required size and shape;
5. Edge planing (chamfering): Use a planer or broaching machine to
finish the four sides of the panel;
6. Grinding surface: Use a grinder and a polishing machine to
process the surface of the panel to obtain a certain roughness and
smoothness;
7. Paint or galvanized protective layer after cleaning and
polishing.
