The surface structure of galvanized sheet coil can be divided into:
Regular spangle(Z), small spangle(X), big spangle, skin-passed
spangle(GZ), zero spangle. The surface of galvanized steel coil has
fish scale or leaf-shape zinc crystal decorative pattern, the zinc
coating is firm, has excellent corrosion resistance and good
welding performance and cold-working forming performance.
Divided into the following kinds according to production and
processing methods:
1. Hot-dipped galvanized steel coil. Refer to a thin steel coil
which is coated with a layer of zinc by immersing the metal in a
bath of molten zinc at a temperature of around 840 °F. The use of
galvanized steel at temperatures above this will result in peeling
of the zinc at the inter metallic layer.
2. One-side and double-side differentially galvanized steel sheet.
The one –side galvanized steel sheet refers to a product which is
only one side galvanized. In welding, painting, anticorrosive
treatment aspects, it has better adaptability than the double-sides
galvanized steel sheet. Double-sides differentially galvanized
steel sheet is another galvanized sheet .In contrast with one-side
galvanized steel sheet, it is painted with thin layer zinc on the
other side.
3. Alloy and compound galvanized steel coil. The layer of this kind
galvanized steel coil composites of zinc and other metal, such as
lead. It has excellent anti-rust and painting performance.
4. Others. Besides the kinds of galvanized mentioned above,
color-galvanized sheet, printed painting galvanized steel sheet,
and polyvinyl chloride laminated galvanized steel sheet are also in
the category of galvanized steel sheet. However, hot-dip galvanized
steel sheet is the most commonly used at present.
The galvanized steel coil is a zinc-coated steel coil. After
annealing and acid pickling process, steel goes into a kettle or
vat containing molten zinc. While the steel is in the kettle, the
iron in the steel metallurgical reacts with the molten zinc to form
a tightly-bonded alloy coating that provides superior corrosion
protection to steel. After this process, passivation, oiling, etc.
after-treatment stage can be chosen.
