A multi-media filter (also known as mechanical filter) is a typical
multi-media filter which is composed of
layers of anthracite, sand, fine garnet or other materials as the
bed layer.The top floor of the bed is made
up of the lightest and coarsest grade materials, while the heaviest
and finest grade materials are placed in
the lower part of the bed.The principle is to filter by depth -
larger particles in water are removed at the
top and smaller particles are removed at deeper depths in the
filter medium.So that the water quality

water passes through the filter material from top to bottom,
suspended substances in the water are
retained by the surface of the filter layer due to adsorption and
mechanical flow resistance.When the

closely, the particles in the water have more chances to collide
with the sand particles, so that the
flocculation, suspension and sand surface in the water adhere to
each other, impurities in the water are
trapped in the filter layer, thus obtaining the clarified water
