Product Description
Babbitt alloys remain consistent from edge-to-edge and end-to-end
through thousands of pounds of ingots and bars, and through
thousands of miles of spray wire. Babbitt formulations meet or
exceed their engineering standards. With higher productivity, less
rework, less cleanup. Fewer defects and higher quality finished
products.The coatings are ductile, low in oxides and exhibit a
bright,metallic appearance.
Equivalent to: Tafa 04T, Sulzer Metco Spraybabbitt
Surface Preparation
Surface should be clean, white metal, with no oxides (rust), dirt,
grease, or oil on the surface to be coated. Note: It is best not to
handle surfaces after cleaning.Recommended method of preparation
is, to grit blast with 24 mesh aluminum oxide, rough grind, or
rough machine in a lathe.
