The RCA connector was originally used for audio signals. It has

transmision of digital audio in S/PDIF format, with plugs colored

Color Code Options:
The Female RCA Jack are often color-coded, yellow for composite
video,red for the right audio channel, and Black or white for the
left channel of stereo audio.
