Centrifuge Feeding,Resistant To Solids,Low-Cost,Lobe Pumps
Gravity thickened sludge with solids content of around 4% is pumped
to a dewatering centrifuge at a waste water treatment plant. The
two Accuvon Model AP100 Rotary Lobe Pumps are controlled via a
frequency inverter and operate in a duty -stand-by mode to feed the
centrifuge. A Accuvon Model HAP300 Inline crusher was installed
ahead of the pumps, to avoid the clogging and blockage of the inlet
to the centrifuge as well as to protect the pumps. The solids, rags
& fibers present in the sludge are cut in to fine particles and the
sludge is homogenized. This package included an auto-reverse
control for the crusher, which allows for clog-free operation.
