FAQ
Q: With 2 alarm ports, it is used to monitor any 2 ports working
status
It is OK to monitor any 2 ports(fiber or Ethernet) via management.
management allows you to adjust the port combination.
Eg: one alarm setup is Ethernet 5 port and the other one is fiber 1
port.
Please note that, in this case if Ethernet 6 port is down, alarm
port gives no response.
Q: 2*Combo ports(port 7&8)
Simply put, combo ports are 2 sets of fiber/Ethernet ports that you
could only use 1 set at the same time.
Let’s say you are connecting Ethernet 7 port to a router in your
office, then FX 1 is automatically disabled.
Ethernet 7&FX 1
Ethernet 8&FX 2
When you use one port in each set(2 sets total), then the other
port is automatically disabled.
And as you may notice, 8 ports(fiber&Ethernet) at most are
working at the same time.
This flexibly allows you to do the combination in actual
application.
It could be used as
- 0 fiber + 8*Ethernet
- 1 fiber + 7* Ethernet
- 2 fiber + 6* Ethernet
Q: What is the PoE transmission distance?
100-meter. If you need farther distances, please purchase PoE
extenders from us.
