For any disinfection, especially high-level disinfection, the transducer must not be immersed deeper than specified. Prolonged exposure to chemicals can shorten the life of all transducer types.

• Improper storage

An example of improper storage is leaving the transducer in the sink after rinsing with Cidex. Hitting the side of the sink will damage the transducer array. To do this, press the handle and slide the transducer forward. It's a perfect example of how an unusual event can lead to expensive repairs.

• Missing funnel to connect the sensor to the Cidex

If this is the case, it means that the transducer is resting on the nose (matrix). This means that the transducer comes very close to being damaged. The damage can only be reduced by a few centimetres.
