The IntelliVue MX40 wearable patient monitor brings you high-tech smart design and innovative features from PHiliphh - a small and lightweight device that can be comfortably worn by bedridden patients.

The MX40 is mainly operated via the touch screen.

Almost all elements of the display are interactive. Display elements include measurement numbers, information fields, alarm fields, waveforms, smart buttons, and menus.

	Activates the Touch Display if touched for two seconds. Cycles through the display screens if touched repeatedly. Resumes from Standby. When pressed from a sub-menu, returns display to the Main Screen.

Selecting Display Elements

Touch an indicator item to access the actions associated with that item. For example, press the Patient Information button to display the Patient Information window, or press the HR number to display the ECG Setup menu. Click an ECG waveform to display the waveform selection menu.

When the MX40 is in display mode, touch the status area to access important service information. You can view wireless signal strength and specific information such as serial numbers, software and hardware versions.

Possible User Interface Issues

• The MX40 screen does not turn on.

The AA battery box can be placed upside down.

The user may not realize that they have to touch the blue home button for two seconds.

• The MX40 screen does not respond to touch.

The screen is locked and must be unlocked with the SmartKey.

• The user does not touch the screen with a finger.

The MX40 does not respond to touch with a fingernail, pen, etc.

• The MX40 does not recognize the type of patient cable.

An adapter cable from the IntelliVue cable set is used, so the cable type cannot be identified. Configure the MX40 for the desired settings: Using the ECG Leads Color Setup menu in setup mode. Cable routing via the FC menu in configuration mode. If you are using a 3-lead IntelliVue device, select it from the ECG Setup menu, and then select New Lead Setup. This will remove the error message.

Note: Your device screen will "lock" after a set time if there is no touch screen. This closes the "Link Details" window. If your device freezes, tap SmartKeys, go to another screen and tap the lock icon to unlock it.
