NBP Module
The NBP module performs the following functions:
• Inflate and deflate the NIBP cuff.
• Measure the pressure in the cuff.
• Detects the pressure waveform and extracts the systolic and
diastolic values from the waveform.
• Calculates mean pressure based on waveform, systolic and
diastolic data
The NBP and CO2 modules are mounted on the tray. To replace any
module, you must remove the tray and then replace each module.
Preparation
1. Open and remove the housing.
2. Check the position of the rear housing
3. Remove the therapy capacitor.
4. Remove the NBP and CO2 module tray
Move
Remove the NBP module and screen
A. Loosen and remove the four T-10 screws.
B. Lift the NBP module and shield out of the module tray.
Replacement
1. Replace the NBP module and screen.
Place the NBP module and screen on the module tray.
2. Replace the screw and tighten.
3. Replace the NBP and CO2 module tray.
4. Replace the therapy capacitor
5. Turn off the house.
NBP Monitoring Problems

| Measurement cycle doesn’t start. | - Problem with internal tubing connections

- Setup
- Check the status displays
- Test the accuracy
- Test for leaks
- Test the linearity
- Calibrate the NBP Measurement
- Run an Operational Check
Each procedure assumes that the monitor/defibrillator, pressure
gauge, and inflation chamber are still configured as they were when
the previous test was completed.
If all results are as indicated, the device passes this section of
the test. Press the [Main Service] softkey to return to the service
mode main menu.
In the event of a malfunction, start troubleshooting and repair the
device as necessary.
