1. Description

Our ASTM A179 tubes are minimum wall thickness, seamless cold drawn low carbon steel tubes for tubular heat exchangers, condensers, and similar hear transfer apparatus. It covers tubes 1/8 to in. ( 3.2 to 76.2mm), inclusive, in outside diameter.

Tubes are made by the seamless process and cold drawn. Tubes are heat treated after the final cold draw pass at a temperature of 1200 ºF (650ºC) or higher. Our finished tubes are free of scale. A slight amount of oxidation will not be considered as scale.

It is produced and tested in strict accordance with the ASME SA179 standard. Its chemical composition and physical properties are fully meet the requirements of the standard. This product is a low carbon cold drawn seamless steel pipe.
