Casting side frame is an important part of the casting type three-piece bogie for railway vehicle. Side frame is to connect two wheel sets and transfer the load of the car body from the bolster and suspension system to the wheels and rails. Side frames are generally made of cast steel by casting process, and often equipped with column wear plate, chute wearing plate and other components.
