    Description:

    The proposed plant employs a process in which air is purified by molecular sieve and refrigerated by boosting turbine expander; fractionating column is sieve trays column.

    The feed air sucked through air intake is cleaned of dust and other mechanical impurities in air filter AF and compressed to a pressure by air compressor. The compressed air flows into air precooling system for temperature to be reduced.

    The air comes from the air precooling system flows into switched molecular sieve adsorber where such impurities as moisture, CO2, C2H2 and other impurities are adsorbed by molecular sieve.

    The purified air is divided into three streams: one stream is fed out to be instrument air; another stream enters main heat exchanger (E1) to be cooled to the saturated temperature by reflux gas and then enters nitrogen column (C1); the air keeps rising in the nitrogen column and being condensed to increase the nitrogen content, and the nitrogen will be obtained at the top. Part nitrogen will be sent to oxygen column to be as completion heat source of liquid oxygen evaporator. And the rest nitrogen is withdrawn as product, and then goes out of cold box after being rewarmed with main heat exchanger, and after being boosted to the required pressure of user with the boosting end of expander, it is fed into the nitrogen pipe network.

    The oxygen enriched liquid air at the bottom of nitrogen column goes into the liquid air subcooler to be subcooled, and then part liquid air to be throttled goes into the nitrogen column condensation evaporator. And the rest goes into the oxygen column as reflux liquid.

    The oxygen enriched liquid air is evaporated to be oxygen enriched air which is withdrawn from the top and goes into the main heat exchanger to be rewarmed, and then it toes into the expander tor expansion refrigeration after being withdrawn from the middle of main heat exchanger.

    The expanded oxygen enriched air enters main heat exchanger to be rewarmed, and then goes out of cold box.

    Part of the oxygen enriched air which goes out of cold box enters electric heater, and then goes into another molecular sieve adsorber as the regeneration gas. The rest will be discharged.

    The liquid oxygen will be obtained after the oxygen enriched liquid air is rectified in oxygen column. The liquid oxygen goes into the main heat exchanger to be rewarmed after being boosted with liquid oxygen pump, and then it goes out of cold box as product.
