CBN grinding wheels are generally divided into the following types.

CBN has a higher hardness than ordinary abrasives. High hardness means better cutting ability and sharper; CBN has high wear resistance, which means it is harder to wear than ordinary abrasives; the ability to maintain the shape of the abrasive grain is one of the main characteristics of CBN as a high performance abrasive; CBN has high compressive strength, which means it can keep the grain intact and not break easily when used under harsh conditions; CBN has good thermal conductivity, which allows cold cutting during grinding.

3. Good thermal conductivity: CBN thermal conductivity can reach tens to hundreds of times of corundum grinding wheels, so it can export the grinding heat quickly and reduce the thermal deformation of the workpiece. It is very suitable for grinding materials with low thermal conductivity.

6. CBN grinding wheels are not suitable for grinding cemented carbide, and CBN will chemically react with alkaline aqueous solution under high grinding temperature, so it is better to use oil-based coolant than water-soluble coolant.
