Fireproof paint for steel structure
Super thin steel structure water borne fireproof paint is made of
high efficiency flame retardant and light insulation material. The
finished paint is thin, and has stable
physical&chemical properties and fireproofing function. When
encounter fire, the paint could rapidly expand and form a
compact&uniform carbonized protective layer, and generate
decompose&endothermic reaction to prevent heat transfer and
extend the refractory time of steel structure.

Construction process
| Surface Preparation | The substrate surface must be clean,dry and free from
contamination, such as dust,oil stain,water stain,etc. |
| Mixing | This is one component, but need to stir evenly before application |
| Construction Method | (1)To clean the steel structure surface,the substrate surface
should be free of dust, rust,oil and other impurity. (2)The application method could be spray, brush and roller. Stir
the coating well before using, each construction thickness should
be 1-2mm, and execute next construction until the previous coating
is dry. Total film thickness is depending on the requirement. (3)The coating thickness should be uniform, the surface should be
flat. (4)Construction environment temperature should be above 5℃,
relative humidity is less than 85%. |

Coating?
The most common applications for Zhuoan’s Fireproof Coating are in
the building industry. Historic architecture,wood cottage,

the list. Hotel, hospital, theater, school ,airport, mall, factory
are also a common usage with steel fire resistant coating.
Can Zhuoan’s Fireproof Coating Be Applied Over Existing Rust And
Corrosion?
With wood Fireproof Coating,the substrate surface must be clean,dry
and free from contamination, such as dust,oil stain,water
stain,etc.With steel Fireproof Coating, only a NACE 3 / SSPC-SP 6
commercial blast cleaning is typically necessary.

necessary. There is no need to blast to NACE 1 or 2 since slight
oxidation on the surface allows for the best chemical reaction.
Can The Speed Of Reaction Be Slowed Down To Increase Working Time
Before It Is Cured?
There are various ways to decrease reaction time, but they are
specific to the material being coated and environmental factors. We
will advise you on this during the consultation.
What Thickness Is Recommended?
For wood Fireproof Coating,11.81mils; for steel Fireproof Coating,
118.11~1968.5mils, specific to the material being coated and fire
resistant standard.
Do I Need Special Equipment In Order To Apply Zhuoan’s Fireproof
Coatings?
Zhuoan’s fireproof coating applied using a plural (2K) spray gun or
brush or roller. For spray model, the coating uses specific ratio,
and sprays on using standard plural spray equipment that mixes at
the nozzle of the spray gun. The process requires no heating
equipment or other apparatus besides the plural spray gun.
What Does The Certification Process Entail?
Training is at our facility or yours. We teach you how to use it,
the application process, and how to recognize proper effect.
Experienced painters generally pick up the technique and understand
the minor differences in a few minutes. We recommend two days of
training to allow ample time to cover maintenance of the equipment,
trouble shooting, and to understand the technology.
