Our Flexible COB LED Strip Light series creates a seamless line of
light from start to finish. The all-new strip design uses flip-chip
LEDs to eliminate visible LED dots (hot spots). The all-new
chip-on-board technology not only improves light quality but also
improves the thermal management and flexibility of the strip. The
smaller LEDs can be packed tighter and weigh much less than the
bulkier 5050 LEDs, creating a strip that can work around the needs
of your application. The spotless output makes the COB LED strips
ideal for narrow applications like display cases and backlighting,
or where reflective surfaces such as granite and tile are used.

Advantages of COB LED
A single COB LED can contain hundreds of chips forming a dense
array. This dense array enables a CoB LED to produce more light
output from a smaller area than is generally possible with an array
of packaged LEDs..
COB LED strips eliminate hot spots due to their seamless
illumination. Therefore, they are best suited for cases where you
cannot hide the LED strip behind anything and do not want to see
the individual chips. For this reason, COB strips are commonly used
in situations where the light strip is placed close to a reflective
surface since it will not show any hotspots in the reflection.
Other popular applications include under-cabinet lighting, jewelry/display case lighting, and toe kick lighting.
