The 4JB1 is a light vehicle diesel engine developed and produced by Isuzu Corporation of Japan in the late 1970s.

Introduced into China in the mid-1980s, it has been widely used in light trucks, pickup trucks, SUVs and other models, and has won a large market share due to its strong power, low fuel consumption, and durable leather.
