Introduction:

Heavy duty drum wood chipper /Wood chipper /Wood Chips making machine is a machine which is used to a machine used for reducing wood (generally tree limbs or trunks) into smaller woodchips.
For large diameter wood log or waste wood pallets or waste building templates, usually need heavy duty drum wood chipper for making small size wood chips.
Usually the finished wood chips size is 3-5cm.

Feeding System--- 4m/5m Chain Conveyor
For large capacity drum wood chipper, it usually uses chain conveyor instead of belt conveyor.
Chain conveyor with long lifetime than belt conveyor.
On the other hand, use a mechanical gripper to catch wood logs or waste wood pallets, waste buliding templates or large diameter wood log onto chain conveyor.
By this way, it could make sure the capacity of drum wood chipper.

Chipping Room with Hammers
If your raw materials are hard wood, wood pallets, waste building templates or other wood waste, for drum wood chipper, the chipping room will equip with hammers instead of traditional knifes. The high rotation spped hammers will beat the materials into small size wood chips.
Hammers belong to spare parts, usually the lifetime is about half a year. After that, drum wood chipper needs to replace new hammers.

Chipping Room with Rotary Knives
When material is wood log or small size wood, usually use rotary knives to cut them into small size wood chips.
The high speed rotary knives will cut these wood into small size wood chips.
Usually the distance between rotary knives and fixed knives is just about 0.5-1mm.
So it is very important to fix these knives. After each work shift, needs to fix these knives one by one.

Application:

The raw materials of drum wood chipper can be pulpwood, waste wood, and residual wood from agriculture, landscaping, logging, and sawmills. Woodchips can also be produced from remaining forestry materials including tree crowns, branches, unsaleable materials or undersized trees.
