Certification Introduction:

The Süddeutsche cTUVus certification is the North American certification mark of the German Süddeutsche TUV company. As long as it is approved by OSHA (U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration) as a testing and certification agency of NRTL (U.S. Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory), it can provide testing and certification services for products entering the U.S. and Canadian markets. It has the same qualifications as other NRTL agencies (such as UL, CSA), so it can help products successfully enter the US and Canadian markets. All NRTL marks (cTUVus, UL, CSA, ETL, cNEMKOus) are equivalent.

The cTUVus Verification Mark provides customers with a clear and direct approach to product safety, enabling their products to successfully enter the U.S. and Canadian markets. TÜV Rheinland in North America has been registered and can perform verification and product testing services of American ANSI/UL standards and Canadian national standards.

Plug structure: The United States and Canada use NEMA 5-15P and 6-15P plug standards. These straight blade plugs in the United States are clearly described in NEMA (National Electronics Manufacturers Association) WD6 publication and are included in UL498. Canadian plug and socket standards are mentioned in CSA publication C22.2, No.42.

TÜV Rheinland's authorized projects include: office equipment, information technology, business machines, audio-visual equipment, home appliances, laboratory equipment, medical equipment, test and measurement equipment, control equipment, etc.

Rheinland's US-Canada certification mark is of the same level as other US NRTLs (such as UL, CSA, etc.). As far as the US and Canadian markets are concerned, only Rheinland of Germany has the capabilities of product testing and verification services.
