Helium Leak Detector - High Sensitivity Leak Detection Technology
A helium leak detector is a mass spectrometer designed to detect
helium gas with a high vacuum system and a mass spectrometer
chamber connected to it. When an external gas enters the mass
spectrometry chamber, it is ionized at the ion source and produce
ions. The gas ions are accelerated into the magnetic field and
their paths are deflected, with different radii due to the
different charge-to-mass ratios of different ions. By placing a
slit at a suitable place, only the ions of the tracer gas, helium,
can pass through and reach the collecting pole. The ion flow signal
obtained at the collection pole is proportional to the amount of
helium entering the leak detector, i.e. the magnitude of the leak
rate. By measuring this signal, the leak rate can be measured.

Applications of Helium Leak Detector:
Helium mass spectrometry has been widely used in the field of
