Stainless steel beams, also known as stainless steel I-beams or stainless steel H-beams, are extruded, hot rolled or laser-fused joists with H-shaped cross sections that are widely used as structural support in both commercial and industrial applications. Stainless steel beam has good resistance to rust and corrosion, thus making it an ideal choice for construction and structural applications. Stainless steel beam also has good toughness and high tensile strength for fabrication applications. Stainless steel beams are commonly used in structural support for food service, food processing and pharmaceutical applications due to their ability to be sterilized and sanitized

GRADES

The common grades of stainless steel beams used are 304 and 316. 304 and 304L are the most widely used grades for stainless steel beams as they are resistant to corrosion under different industrial environment. Stainless steel grades 316 and 316L are often favoured in coastal and marine environments as they have proven to withstand strong resistance in acidic and hard water areas.
