What are the types of diagnostic ultrasound?

B-mode ultrasound is the basis of all current ultrasound diagnoses. It can directly display two-dimensional spatial images, so it is also called two-dimensional ultrasound.

D-mode ultrasound is also called Doppler type. The Doppler frequency-shifted signal of blood flow and organ activity is processed by autocorrelation technology and then color-coded and superimposed on the two-dimensional image of B-mode ultrasound. This is the general meaning. Color Doppler ultrasound. Many people think that color ultrasound is just a color TV, and all the images they see should be in color, but this is not the case. Color Doppler ultrasound only partially displays red or blue when observing blood flow signals. Therefore, color ultrasound can provide both morphological information of two-dimensional images and hemodynamic information, and is the mainstream of ultrasound diagnosis today.
