1 . Descriptions:

Vibratory bowl feeders are widely used in industrial production environments and are considered the most versatile and commonly used parts-feeding systems for assembly line production. As the name suggests, vibratory bowl feeders utilize vibration to align and feed small parts in production lines. The vibrations are generated using electromagnets. The device converts electromagnetically produced vibrations into mechanical vibrations, which are then harnessed and transferred to the conveying track of the bowl feeder. The conveying track moves the components along, guiding them into the production line.

A magnetic coil is positioned beneath the spring-mounted bowl. This coil is magnetized by an external power source, creating an electromagnetic actuation that generates vibrations. The bowl's actuation is constrained to limit vertical movement due to its mounting on the springs. Generally, 1 to 6 electromagnets are placed under the feeder base. Once the electromagnetic vibrations are converted into mechanical vibrations, the components and parts in the bowl feeder are propelled onto the bowl's conveying tracks, ready for production.

Another application for bowl feeders is in pill bottling systems. Large batches of pills or capsules can be deposited into the vibratory bowl feeder for counting and bottling purposes. The pills are dumped into the top of the vibratory feeder, and the vibration within the feeder ensures that the pills continue to move toward the exit, entering the bottle one by one without causing congestion.
