The Caterpillar C9 is an inline 6 cylinder heavy duty diesel
engine.
The Cat® C9 industrial diesel engine is offered in ratings ranging
from 250-340 kW (335-456 hp) @ 1800-2200 rpm.
Caterpillar has made reliable machines for construction,
agriculture, trucking, boating, and numerous other industries.
A stronger cylinder body increases the pressure capacity of the
cylinder to obtain better fuel economy overall oil cooler reduced
the weight and width of the engine, and the possibility of leakage.
The curved surface ensures the strength of the cylinder, and
reduces the weight and noise of the engine.
High -strength, high -hardness gray cast iron cylinder set
increased the service life. The central part supports a wet
cylinder sleeve, allowing a higher piston ring position to obtain
better fuel economy and improve emissions.
The optimized structural design improves the sealability of the
cylinder head, reliability and durable cylinder head-cylinder body
with six bolts, which improves the sealing of gas and reduces the
deformation of the cylinder set to the greatest extent.
