Description
Shavings dryer is a wood dryer modified by our company according to
the characteristics of other drying equipment, which is used for
drying the wet long shavings extracted by wood planer. It has high
thermal efficiency, small damage to shavings form and large
production capacity. It can also be used for drying wood chips
produced by wood chipper (Note: sawdust or wood chips can be dried
by wood chip dryer equipment), widely used in directional
structural board and ordinary particle board, density board,
fiberboard, furniture factory and other production-oriented light
industry enterprises as well as livestock manure, wine tank slag,
grass, ginkgo leaf, Chinese herbal medicine and other materials
drying.
Wet material is fed via a rotary valve and a specially designed
infeed chute into the rotating drum. There, the heat is transferred
mainly through convection from the drying gases to the material for
water evaporation. At the end of the drum, the material is
pneumatically transported to cyclones where the material is
separated from the drying gases. One portion of the drying gases is
recirculated
to the mixing chamber for energy recovery and reduction of dryer
exhaust volume.
