Application
ACSR are formed by several wires of aluminum and galvanized steel,
stranded in concentric layers. The inside of the ACSR is a steel "core", which mainly increases
the strength; the outside is wrapped around the steel core with
aluminum wire by twisting, and the aluminum strand mainly plays the
role of transmitting electric energy.
Bare Conductor Electrical Cable STANDARD
BS EN50182 , IEC 61089, ASTM B232, BS 215-2, CSA C49M, GOST 839,
NFC 34-120, GB/T1179-2008.
Note: The values of current rating mentioned in above Table are based on
wind velocity of 0.6 metre/second, solar heat radiation of 1200
watt/metre2, ambient temperature of 50° C & conductor temperature
of 80°C.
Construction:
- Concentric-lay stranded.
- 1 up to 4 layers aluminum wires stranded, 6 to 84 aluminum wires.
- 1 up to 3 layers steel wires as core, 1 to 37 steel wire.
- Al/St 6/1, 7/1, 8/1, 12/7, 16/19, 18/1, 24/7, 26/7, 30/7, 30/19,
36/1, 54/7, 54/19, 72/7, 76/19, 84/19.
- Coating od zinc, Zn-5A1-MM, high strength, Extra and Ultra
available.
- Can-do both left-hand lay and right hand lay.
The ACSR has simple structure, convenient installation and
maintenance, low line cost, large transmission capacity, and is
conducive to the laying of special geographical conditions such as
crossing rivers and valleys. It has good electrical conductivity
and sufficient mechanical strength and high tensile strength. , The
distance of the tower pole can be enlarged and so on. Therefore, it
is widely used in overhead transmission and distribution lines of
various voltage levels.
