Character LCD is a liquid crystal display technology used in
electronic devices that display text and simple icons, usually
presented in a fixed character size and arrangement. A
40x4character LCD refers to a liquid crystal display (LCD) module
that can display 16 characters in each of its four rows. It is
commonly known as a 40x4character LCD or 40x4 alphanumeric LCD. LCD
displays utilize liquid crystal cells and electrical currents to
control the visibility of characters on the screen. Here is the
