PES membrane disc filter is a type of filter that has been cut into circles and ready for use. The disc filters are constructed of polyethersulfone with low-protein-binding, low-extractable and hydrophilic properties. These characteristics enables the disc filters to provide fast flow rates and high throughput when filtering media, buffers, and other filtrates, making them a recommended solution for a wide variety of aqueous filtration applications. PES filter membranes are particularly useful in microbiological and life science applications.

PES disc filters are available in a wide of range of porosities: 0.1μm,0.22µm,0.45μm, 0.65μm, 0.8μm,1.2μm,3μm,5μm etc. The 0.22µm porosity is designed for sterilization and complete bacterial retention, while the 0.45µm porosity is intended for particulate removal and clarification. The PES membrane discs offered by XINNA are non-sterile, but they can be autoclaved and gamma sterilized to meet specific requirements.
