Even when a standard seal might meet basic needs, many engineers turn to spring energized seals for an added level of reliability and peace of mind.

Virgin PTFE	Excellent for static and light to moderate dynamic service.	-200°C~ +260°C
	Limited wear and heat resistance. FDA compliant
Modified PTFE	Excellent for light to moderate dynamic and static service.	-200°C~ +260°C
	Limited wear and heat resistance.Low gas permeability.
	FDA compliant. Good in creep and extrusion resistance.
UHMW-PE	Extremely good wear and abrasion resistance,	-150°C~ + 80°C
	but limited heat and chemical resistance. FDA compliant
PEEK	High modulus material with high temperature resistance.	-210°C~ + 310°C

PTFE + glass fibre	Tough, long wearing, heat resistant.	-200°C~ +260°C
	Recommended for high pressure hydraulic application.
PTFE + polymide	Excellent in dry service with low wear rate in vacuum and inert gases.	-260°C ~ +310°C
	Very low abrasion to dynamic mating surfaces.
