support fiber transmission above 2 cores. They allow multi-core
fiber and reduce connector size on one connector interface. In the

MPO MTP is much smaller than the LC, saving up to double the space
for data center and transmission infrastructure. The MPO connection
needs to be the same fiber count connectors mating (12 cores to 12

connector in order to get a connection. Moreover, only the same
polishing type (PC to PC or APC to APC) can be connected.
