The E-link Mini Industrial 10Base-T Ethernet to 10Base-FL fiber optical
media converter helps you converts your existing 10Base-T Ethernet to a 10Base-FL network over single mode or multimode fiber optic cable up to 20,000
meters. With its hardened product with wide operating temperature
range from -40°C to 75°C, and ruggedized aluminum housing, it
ensures that your Ethernet equipment can withstand demanding
industrial conditions. Furthermore, it supports half-duplex and
full-duplex mode. Incidentally, the LNK-IMC10FST series are easy to mount on a DIN rail or in distribution boxes.
Using this converter, one does not need to use crossover cables for
connections between 10 Mbps Ethernet segments to fiber segments.
This converter contains a switch that senses the type of circuit
and automatically configures the port to match. The benefit of this
is that the UTP side can be autosensing to MDI/MDI-X and thus one
can use either a straight or crossed cable to connect a switch or
NIC.
