Wire mill is a mill specially used for rolling wire rod.Wire mill
is the product with the smallest section size in the profile, which
is rolled from billet into finished product with large total
elongation coefficient. The rolled piece is usually rolled only one
time in each rolling mill, so wire mill is the rolling mill with
the largest number of stands and the most fine division of labor in
the hot rolled profile.At present, the modern continuous wire rod
mill generally consists of 21~28 mills, which are divided into
roughing mill group, medium mill group and finishing mill group.
The medium mill group is sometimes divided into one medium mill
group and two medium mill groups.The structure and layout of the
wire mill have been developing towards the direction of high speed,
continuous, no twist, single wire, combined structure,
mechanization and automation.
