Can someone tell me if this darn thing has a shut-off switch or button? Is there no way to turn this off without removing batteries?

Answer:

The toy automatically turns off.

Question:

How do you insert batteries? plastic ball inside toy doesn't appear to have battery compartment. I can't find a battery compartment anywhere!

Answer:

The plastic ball has the compartment for 4 batteries. You need to open it with screwdrivers and insert the batteries and close it again.
