The minimum pressure valve of a screw air compressor is also called
a pressure maintenance valve, also called a one-way valve. Its
composition is composed of valve body, valve core, spring, sealing
ring, adjusting screw, etc. The inlet end of the minimum pressure
valve is generally connected to the outlet of the oil and gas
cylinder, and the outlet end is generally connected to the inlet of
the cooler.
The function of the minimum pressure valve:
1.It acts as a buffer. When the machine is loaded, assuming that it
is discharged into the atmosphere, the large pressure difference
between the inside of the machine before and after the separation
will all be added to the separator, causing damage to the separator
core;
2.The oil lubrication of the machine is carried out by the pressure
difference of the machine itself, without additional oil pump
assistance, when the machine is in no-load state, a certain
pressure is still required to maintain the oil circulation, so the
intake valve is relatively closed, and the minimum pressure valve
prevents pressure leakage , So as to ensure lubricating oil
circulation.
3.The minimum pressure valve is mainly used to establish the
internal pressure of the unit, promote the circulation of
lubricating oil, meet the working pressure of the relief valve,
etc., to ensure that there is a certain internal circulation
pressure for lubricating oil to circulate after starting up and
before loading, and maintain the oil separation tank When the
pressure does not drop below 4Bar, the cycle pressure required by
the lubricating oil shall be established first when starting to
ensure the lubrication of the machine and provide power to a part
of the mechanical loading valve to ensure that the loading valve
can be opened. When the pressure exceeds 4Bar, it can reduce the
flow rate of the air flowing through the oil-gas separator. In
addition to ensuring the oil-gas separation effect, it can also
protect the oil-gas separation filter element from damage due to
excessive pressure difference.
4.The minimum pressure valve acts as a one-way valve to prevent the
compressed air in the system from returning to the inside of the
machine during shutdown.
