Applications:
Most foundations are insulated on the exterior, and the vast
majority of those exteriors are insulated with extruded polystyrene
(XPS). While XPS is widely available, affordable, moisture
resistant, and well insulating (R-5 per in.), it has a few
drawbacks. Termites and carpenter ants tunnel through it with
impunity, often using it as a protected channel into our homes;
sunlight degrades it if it isn’t properly protected above grade;
and polystyrene is highly flammable, necessitating the addition of
the flame-retardant chemical hexabromocyclododecane (HBCD), which
is under scrutiny in the European Union as a persistent,
bioaccumulative toxin (also known as a PBT).
Description:
Mineral Wool Slabs products is an economical light weight thermal
insulation material which is well recognized as one of the best
material for thermal and insulation purpose is manufactured from a
mixture of natural rocks (basalt and dolomite) melted at high
temperature to form a molten matrix, which is then passed through
an air stream that cools the material and forms long fibrous
strands. These strands are bonded together to form slabs, blocks,
blankets, pipe covers and granulates (non-bonded). The material is
chemically and biologically inert and free from plant pathogens.

Chemical Properties/Biological Properties
| stonewool is neutral (PH 7) or slightly alkaline and meet the
requirement of standard ASTM C 795 JIS A 9504. It will normally not
