Stainless steel type 1.4016 is also commonly known as grade 430.
Stainless steel 430 combines good corrosion resistance with good
formability and ductility.
Type 430 is a chromium ferrite stainless steel with moderate
corrosion and heat resistance. It is nonhardenable by heat
treatment. Type 430 is magnetic and exhibits good ductility. It can
be readily formed into many desired shapes.
