The main features of quartz sand filter
Quartz sand filter equipment has a simple structure and is more
convenient to run backwashing. It is mainly through adjusting 4
valves to change the direction of water. During operation, it is up
and down, and for backwashing, it is in and up and out, and then
the backwash is reversed through the blowdown valve. The washing
sewage is discharged, and then the washing is carried out until the
effluent is clear and clean. The quartz sand should be filled with:
the size of the dirt interception layer of quartz sand is
0.5-1.0mm, the height is above 700mm, and there are two supporting
layers underneath, which are 1 -2mm filling height is 150-200mm,
2-3mm filling height is 150-200mm. Untreated water has a pollution
interception capacity of 0.5-1.0Kg/m3, and lime-treated water has a
pollution interception capacity of 1.5-2.0 Kg/m3. For coagulated
water, its pollution interception capacity is 2.5- 3.0Kg/m3.
Scope of application of quartz sand filter
It is suitable for the filtration of drinking water and other water
purification treatments, and it is more suitable for the
pre-treatment and circulating water treatment of production water
in petroleum, chemical industry, mining, metallurgy,
thermoelectricity, printing and dyeing, tanning, food, etc., as
well as the recycling of sewage.
Other uses of quartz sand: Quartz sand is used to make glass,
refractory materials, ceramics, smelting ferrosilicon, floor,
architectural coatings, casting, grinding, etc.
Technical parameters of quartz sand filter:
1. Design filtration rate: 8-12m/h. When the head loss is about 5m,
backwash regeneration is required (usually by reading the pressure
difference between the inlet and outlet at 0.05MP).
2. Anti-cleaning intensity: 10-15L/sec•m².
3. Rinsing duration: 5-7 minutes
4. Inlet water pressure: ≥0.4Mpa Backwashing water pressure:
≥0.20Mpa
5. The expansion rate is 25%-50%.
