Magnesium
Magnesium alloys are alloys based on magnesium and added with other
elements. Its characteristics are: low density, high specific
strength, large elastic modulus, good shock absorption, greater
impact load capacity than aluminum alloy, and good corrosion
resistance. The main alloying elements are aluminum, zinc,
manganese, cerium, thorium, and a small amount of zirconium or
cadmium. At present, the most used is magnesium aluminum alloy,
followed by magnesium manganese alloy and magnesium zinc zirconium
alloy.

Application
1. Gasoline, kerosene, and lubricants, suitable for manufacturing
engine gear boxes, oil pumps, and tubing
2. Used to manufacture movable parts such as rocker arms, doors,
and rudder surfaces due to the low inertia force generated in
rotating and reciprocating motions.
3. It can be used to make satellites, lunar landing aircraft bases,
exterior panel of missile and rocket and the empennage of missile
and plane.
